In this age of technology and the Internet many people have been able to brand themselves online like no other point in history. The Internet has served as a vehicle to propel ordinary people into stardom on both the net and for some into the worlds of Hollywood and business. However, many try their efforts at trying to duplicate the success but fall short because of a number of reasons. This led me to do some research on what some of the most successful branders on the Internet did in order to achieve that success. From that information I formulated what I call the 3 B's to Internet branding success.
The first "B" might come to many as a no brainer but its oftentimes overlooked by the unsuspecting hopeful; this "B" is believability. People have to be able to establish some kind of emotional connection to the marketer in order to want to follow them on the net. People need to feel as though they may know this individual personally or feel as though they have something in common with them. This can established through focused content on the net and through information that can be found and researched in other places.
The next "B" that can help to brand one is through blogging. This is a great forum for one to brand because it allows for one to voice their own opinion about something and can also stir up controversy, which can be good for a new up and coming Internet blogger. Having up to the minute information and being able to convey an accurate and yet compelling argument on a particular story will immediately draw attention to you. So blogging is one that needs to be updated daily with new information that can be greatly debated.
The last "B" is huge and it's Big advertising.
Furthermore, the 3 "B's" are what I would consider to be absolutely essential for online branding. Being believe able to your audience through blogging and big advertising can help to propel one in a quest to brand themselves on the internet.
