Can You Sincerely Make Money As an Internet Marketer Or is This All Just Smoke and Mirrors?

I wonder if the Internet marketing industry is essentially one big carnival house with mirrors and smokey rooms. It seems that every week people come to this industry with high hopes and while those new people are walking in an entire crop of burned-out, broke, dispirited people are exiting. Maybe my analysis is a little bit extreme, but I do think the analogy is relatively accurate.

You basically need to focus on two things if you want to be successful as an Internet marketer. You need to work on generating traffic and you need to work on converting that traffic into sales. That might seem like a complete simplification of a process that is a little bit more involved than that. You know what? It is. But when you take away all the smoke and you take away all the mirrors and you just focus on what ultimately makes people money -- it all comes down to traffic and conversions.

So here's the challenge that we all face going forward.

We need to simply focus on our own Internet marketing business. We cannot allow ourselves to become distracted by what other people are doing, what other people are working on, and whatever e-mail promotions arrive in our inbox on a daily basis. By focusing on what matters we can slowly but surely escape the insane house of smoke and yours that traps so many beginners. Just imagine what it'll be like a year from now if you can look back on this moment and say that this was the moment when you decided you were going to start focusing on your business and start making money on the Internet.
