3 Things that make your PC slow while you are browsing the internet

in Internet

Everyone one us hates sluggish computers especially if one is surfing the internet. We go on the internet every day because of our increased dependence on the web for various requirements related to education, office, medical care, travel and entertainment.

We today depend on internet for various business and personal transactions like sending e-mails, information searches, posting video clippings or being on the social network hubs like Facebook or Twitter. Because of these activities, which we do frequently we end up saving lot of online files that make the PC or laptop slow down. Internet browsing plays a major role in making our PC slow as we unwillingly save a lot of temporary internet files and cookies on our system.

However, this problem can be partly resolved by installing an effective antivirus program but it is not resolved entirely as it is majorly associated to three areas including available RAM (Random Access Memory), Central Processing Unit (CPU) and Internet browser, hardware issues and search engine cache.

In this article we are discussing these problems and suggesting what all you can do to either decrease their impact to the minimum or get rid of them altogether.

The problem of slow running PC mainly begins with your RAM and CPU storage and memory which mostly become insufficient for extensive internet browsing. Moreover, the PC starts running slow when the RAM and CPU storage reaches near to it full capacity. These components of your computer become unable to run more applications and programs once the RAM and CPU are fully utilized.

To make your PC run properly, you may sometime require removing applications and programs that are no more important for you. Remember, not to remove or disable the applications including antivirus programs and firewall applications that help your PC run smooth and faster. So while removing applications from your PC, remove only those that are needlessly occupying system resources. In this way you can create some breathing space for your PC that in turn helps you enjoy fast internet browsing.

The internet cache and web browser storage helps your PC access various websites and maintain smooth traffic between servers. The cache and storage files are used by internet services providers (Dial-up) to run web pages and download images as well as program files from the internet. The cache of your search engine and browser helps you access the desired website quickly and they also help you download internet files every time you access the web.

But when your PC storage gets clogged with the internet caches and cookies, the system starts slowing down. To overcome this problem you need to clean the PC from browser or search engine cache that get stored on the PC over a period of time. Ideally, the webpage cookies are usually cached and stored for up to 30 days but it can set to store cookies that would be available for 90 days. By installing the antivirus program you can scan the dangerous cookies that are used by malware.

In short, cookies are temporary internet files that need to be removed from your PC to help the browser improve its run times. You can get better speed for your laptop by removing these temporary files from the list of PC start up options. In this way, you create some additional memory resources that help the PC deliver smooth browsing experience.

At times, faulty internet connection is also responsible for poor internet browsing speed. To overcome this problem you can restart your cable or DSL modem. This you can do simply by disconnecting your cable or DSL modem from the power source and leaving it idle for 10-15 minutes. Restart the modem again by reconnecting it to the power. This is important because it ensures that there are not traces of static electricity in the modem. Mostly, this trick works towards improving the speed of your internet but if it doesn’t work then you must call your internet service provider and explain the problem for the appropriate help.

The three problems that are discussed above are the main reasons why you experience slow internet connectivity and web browsing. By keeping them in mind and taking the appropriate recourse for their resolution, you can run your PC faster.
